Surf's up, Nicole! Thanks for sliding back over to planDisney as you plan your upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! With so much festive fun in store for
Halloween, it's a spooktacular time to visit, and making time to splash into your vacation at a Disney Water Park will make it even more magical and memorable!
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park does not usually close for rainy weather; most of the attractions will remain open in the rain, as long as there is no lightning in the area. While the forecast is always up in the air (so to speak), many rainy days forecasted at the Walt Disney World Resort turn out to be scattered showers that pass quickly. The good news is you'll already be soaking up the fun of the water park, so you won't mind a little extra precipitation!
Nicole, I haven't experienced the cabana life at Typhoon Lagoon, but the
Beachcomber Shacks offer some pretty righteous perks to enhance your day, including towels to keep you dry and a dedicated, covered space to escape the rainfall should you need it. I looked into the terms and conditions, and it does say that if the park closes due to inclement weather, Disney will cancel your reservation and you will not be charged, so it might be worth the risk to keep your reservation in case the forecast changes. Another option would be to check the forecast as you get a little closer to your arrival date, as the weather is always subject to change. The cabanas offer a 24-hour cancellation window with no penalty.
I sure hope that this is helpful, Nicole. I'll be doing the rain dance for you in hopes that the only water you experience during your visit is the splashes from
Miss Adventure Falls or the
Crush 'n' Gusher water coaster (those are my favorites!) If you have any other questions before your trip, come on back to
planDisney and let us know! We're always ready to dive into the magic with you!
Magic Awaits,
Alison
