Hiya, Randy! Welcome to the world of planDisney, where we stay one jump ahead of vacation planning stress and serve as your go-to resource for all things
Disneyland Resort planning!
Join me on the magic carpet and let’s soar to your answer. The
California Resident Ticket does come with a few rules, but one of its biggest perks is that the days do not need to be used consecutively or within a 13-day window. These tickets expire on May 21, 2026 and must be used by that date.
Based on what you described, it sounds like your purchase may fall under the traditional multi-day ticket option, which does include a 13-day timeframe to use all included days. If that is the case, you can reach out to
Guest Relations to see whether any modifications can be made. In general, though, tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
If the California Resident ticket ends up being a better fit for your plans and Guest Relations is unable to modify your current tickets, you could always hold on to the regular tickets for a future visit. Tickets purchased in 2026 have an extended validity period and can be used through January 12, 2027. Another option to consider is upgrading your tickets to a
Magic Key pass. As a Magic Key holder myself, I love the flexibility it offers, along with access to special events, promotions, and discounts. Magic Key passes are valid for 365 days from your first scan into a theme park or parking area, and, as of the time of this writing, passes are on
sale.
Randy, I hope this helped bring a little clarity and pointed you in the right direction. Whenever more questions pop up, you know where to find me. No lamp required.
