If I want to buys a 3 days pass but I only want to use two days at first how long is the third day valid for. So in other words how long do I get to use my third day

Greetings, Johnnie, and welcome to planDisney! The only thing better than a day at the Disneyland Resort is multiple days at the Disneyland Resort! It sounds like you are in for three days of fun. I'm happy to provide some guidance that may help you sort out your reservation dates.

The timing of your visit will depend on the type of ticket you use. The standard 3-day ticket must be used within 13 days of first use or by January 12, 2027, whichever occurs first. The Southern California Resident Ticket, which also provides three days of fun at the Disneyland Resort for eligible residents, is valid through May 15, 2025.

The wonderful thing about the Southern California Resident Ticket is you have more flexibility on the timing of your visits. You can use all three days in a short period or spread out the visits over a longer timeframe (as long as the last visit is taken on or before the expiration date). My dad purchased this ticket and chose to space out his reservations by a month. If you have the same ticket, you'll have plenty of time to visit one more time.

I recommend deciding on that third date and securing your reservation as early as possible, especially if you want to visit on a Friday or Sunday. As time passes, reservations may be harder to get for certain dates in late April and early May as the expiration date for the Southern California Resident Ticket approaches. You can easily change your reservations, so there's no downside to planning ahead.

Here's an idea that may inspire the timing of your visit: Season of the Force (March 28 - May 11) is the ideal occasion for any Rebel, Jedi, or Wookiee to head to Disneyland. Space Mountain will transform into Hyperspace Mountain, taking riders on a thrilling mission and daring escape from TIE fighters. Special friends from a galaxy far, far away will also make appearances, and that's just the beginning – there will be more galactic adventures to discover.

One more thing, Johnnie: Did you know you can upgrade your existing ticket to a Magic Key pass (subject to availability)? If you're interested in extending the magic of your upcoming visit to last for a whole year, that's something to consider. Magic Key passes are still on sale while supplies last. You'd have until the last day that you use your ticket (or until new pass sales are paused) to make the upgrade.

Johnnie, I hope this information makes the rest of your travel planning go as smoothly as a Magic Carpet Ride! Please let us know if you have any other questions. We are always happy to help.

    Adventure awaits,
