If only buying a single day pass due to time constraints (ex epcot) who has extra evening hours if we stay in a value resort (if offered) do we need to stay 1 or 2 nights to be able to access and how do I do this?

Hi there, Sandra! I'm so glad I get to help you with your very first question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope it's not your last!

Extra Magic Hours are one of the perks offered to registered guests (with valid theme park admission) staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel (or the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, and Shades of Green Resort). Even if you are only planning to stay in a Value Resort for one night, you can still experience select attractions before or after the parks are open to the general public. There are two types of Extra Magic Hours; morning Extra Magic Hours and evening Extra Magic Hours. In April, EPCOT has evening Extra Magic Hours on Tuesdays from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, but I recommend checking the Park Hours Calendar as you get closer to your trip. Typically for the evening hours, Cast Members are stationed at the attraction entrances and will ask you to scan your MagicBand (or Key to the World card) before you can enter the queue. One thing to keep in mind is that FastPass+ is not available during the evening hours. To get a full list of the attractions that will be open, I like to visit the Extra Magic Hours page on the Walt Disney World website.

Mickey and I hope you have a magical stay, Sandra!

Meet the Panelist: Eean, Pennsylvania

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
