Hi! I am buying 8 passes together but we will do different rides and everyone wants to be able to manage their own genie +, is that possible or each has to buy their own ticket?

    Hi Ana Lucia,

Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question! I’m so glad to hear you are planning a group vacation to Walt Disney World Resort in 2024.

You can purchase your Walt Disney World tickets in one transaction and still allow everyone to manage their own plans. Each member of your travel party will need their own My Disney Experience account. When everyone has a My Disney Experience account you can add them to your Family & Friends List. In your My Disney Experience account, go to “My Family & Friends” and select “+ Add a Guest.” You can add your travel party through their name and phone number or email, a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation, or through your connected Guests. Make sure you “allow each Guest to view all shared plans” in the settings for each Guest in your travel party.

After your travel party is on your Family & Friends List, you can reassign the tickets to each Guest. In the “My Plans” section of your My Disney Experience account, click “Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker.” Next to each ticket, you should see “Reassign Ticket” which will generate a drop-down menu with your list of Family & Friends. Select the Guest to reassign each ticket to and it should appear in their account. This will allow each Guest to manage their own plans or create plans for the Group as needed.

If you are traveling with children under the age of 13, an adult will need to manage the profile of the child. The other Guests in your travel party can still make plans for the child if they add the child to their Family & Friends List and you change the settings in the child’s profile to allow other Guests to make plans for the child.

I hope this was helpful, Ana Lucia. Your visit will be during the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! There is a great planDisney Podcast episode all about the Festival if you’d like a preview of what you might see, hear, and taste! Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for future announcements about festival offerings. We’ll be here for you at planDisney if you have any follow-up questions as you count-down to your vacation!
