Hi there, Aly, and welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by as you prepare for your adventure to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Whether you plan to visit now or later this year, you've chosen an incredible time to be our guest at the
Walt Disney World Resort. Check out some of the excitement arriving in 2024
here.
Aly, you'll be pleased to know that the ticket policy you mentioned will apply to standard AAA tickets. I'm a fellow AAA member and occasionally take advantage of deals from this or other Disney-authorized ticket vendors. When you buy
theme park tickets from AAA, you'll receive an e-mail with a barcode and 12-digit alphanumeric confirmation. Link the confirmation number to your My Disney Experience account and match the tickets to guests in your friends and family list. Once the tickets are in your My Disney Experience account, you can modify the dates or upgrade them.
If your original selected travel dates don't work out and your tickets expire, they might disappear from view in your My Disney Experience account, but don't panic! At this point, you'd need to
call Walt Disney World or visit Guest Relations or a ticket window upon arrival to validate them. Cast Members can view current, past, and expired theme park admissions in our accounts. Last month, my son and I redeemed unused Disney Water Park tickets that had expired at the end of 2023. We couldn't see the tickets anymore in My Disney Experience, so when we arrived at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, we stopped by the ticket window, where a friendly Cast Member scanned my
MagicBand, located our old tickets, and helped us reactivate them to use that day. It was pretty magical!
I hope this has been helpful, Aly. Best wishes for planning your vacation, and if there's anything else we can do to make it even more memorable, don't hesitate to reach out again.
You've got a friend in me,
Betsy
