Hi Justin,
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
If you’re staying at a Disney Resort, you can purchase your Lightning Lane passes up to seven days in advance, which means you’re only a few days away from making your Lightning Lane selections!
When your booking window opens, you can purchase Lightning Lane passes for any eligible Guest on your Family & Friends list. Each person must have a valid theme park admission, and if you’re purchasing 7 days before your arrival, they must be staying at a Disney Resort. Guests who are not staying at a Disney Resort must wait until 3 days before their visit to purchase Lightning Lanes. If you are purchasing for a group, the total amount will be charged to the card associated with your My Disney account. You can only use one form of payment per transaction. You will complete a purchase for each date, so each day will be a different transaction.
One suggestion is to look ahead at the Lightning Lane pass prices so each person can plan to pay you back for their share of the cost. You could also ask everyone to send you
Disney gift cards for their amount, combine the cards into one, then use that card to make the Lightning Lane purchase. Each person can also purchase their own Lightning Lanes, but unfortunately, you might not get the same Lightning Lane arrival windows. If some members of your party choose to opt out of certain experiences, they can always
modify their plans within the My Disney Experience app after the initial purchase.
I hope this helps, Justin! Start looking through experiences now and ask the group chat which attractions you want to prioritize once your purchase window opens! I know
Christmas is making its way to Main Street, U.S.A., so I hope you get to enjoy some seasonal offerings during your visit! If you have any more questions, we’d love to help you again at
