When buying multipass can you see the availability for the park before purchasing?

    Hi Rebecca,

Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you stopped by with your question, and even more excited to hear you're considering the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and maybe even the Lightning Lane Single Pass, as part of your Walt Disney World vacation. These tools are a great way to spend less time waiting in lines and more time soaking up the fun. Whether you're grabbing that morning Joffrey’s coffee or taking a leisurely lap around World Showcase at EPCOT, every minute saved adds up.

I’m a huge proponent of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass. In fact, we just got back from our most recent family trip where we used it throughout our visit. It allowed us to enjoy all the rides on our must-do list, sometimes even twice. We’d use the Lightning Lane entrance for the first go-round, then jump back in the standby line when the posted wait time dipped later in the day. It helped us make the most of our time in the parks.

Now to your question...Yes, you can see attraction availability before you finalize your Lightning Lane Multi Pass purchase. When your booking window opens, just open your My Disney Experience app (once in the U.S.), select the Multi Pass option, choose the park you want to visit, and you’ll be prompted to make your first three attraction selections. If you don’t love what’s available for that day, whether it’s the attractions or the times, you can back out and start over with a different park or try a different date.

During my recent planning, I had originally hoped to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios on our first park day. But when I got into the app to choose attractions, the return times weren’t ideal for our plans. So, I backed out and looked at a day later in our trip. Sure enough, I was able to snag the times I was hoping for, which helped me stack additional Lightning Lanes into the afternoon and evening. Being able to see availability before committing made a big difference in how I approached our entire itinerary.

My suggestion? Go into your booking window with both a Plan A and a Plan B. Stay flexible, but don’t settle. Be ready to shift park days around if it means getting the experience that works best for you. With a little preparation, I’m confident you’ll build an itinerary that fits your vacation style perfectly.

I hope this helps clarify things, Rebecca. If you have any more questions as you get ready for your trip or want help with Lightning Lane strategy, feel free to swing back by planDisney and ask me directly. I’d love to help you fine-tune your plans.

    TTFN,
    Brent
