Hi Greg,
Welcome to planDisney!
'Tis the season to plan for the
Holidays at Walt Disney World® Resort! I am excited to see that you are planning to attend
Mickey's Verry Merry Christmas Party! As long as you plan to visit Magic Kingdom during the party hours, you should not need a ticket with the
Park Hopper® Option. I recommend purchasing a Standard 1-Day theme park ticket to visit the first park, then you can use your party ticket for Magic Kingdom that evening.
Be sure to note in the
Know Before You Go Info that with your party ticket, you could enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m. So, I am not sure you would want to go to another park that day. My girls and I absolutely love Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The snacks, parade, and characters dressed in their holiday best are priceless. I suggest that you get dressed and then head to the entrance before 4:00 p.m. to wait until the magical moment when cast members start letting in guests with party tickets!
Greg, check out the
Beginner's Guide to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (be sure to also view the planDisney Pocket Guide linked at the end of the Beginner's Guide). Also plan your party attire. My girls and I love the simplicity of
matching shirts so make some decisions before you arrive! Also I encourage you to purchase that ticket as soon as possible since availability for your preferred date could disappear soon!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
