Welcome to planDisney, Bryan!
How wonderful that you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort while it is decorated for the Holiday season! In my opinion, The Most Magical Place on Earth is even more magical when twinkling with the glow of holiday lights and tinsel. Since this is one of the most popular times of the year to visit, it's a great idea to invest in Walt Disney World's
Lightning Lane passes so that you can bypass standby queues! If you have general questions about the new system, I encourage you to check out
this explanation I provided for a previous Guest after using the system myself.
When purchasing Lightning Lane passes for your vacation in the My Disney Experience app, I'm happy to confirm that
Disney Gift Cards are an acceptable form of payment. You will be prompted to pay for your purchase after you have made your attraction and entry window selections as well as finalized your party. Once you have reached the payment screen you will need to select the 'Add A Payment Method' option, select 'Disney Gift Card', and then enter your Card Number and EAN.
Although Disney Gift Cards are acceptable forms of payment in the My Disney Experience app, they are unable to be stored as a method of payment in the app at this time. If you are planning on using Disney Gift Cards for
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering and
Merchandise Mobile Checkout, I suggest storing your gift card information in your phone's wallet so that you can easily copy and paste the card number into the app when making purchases.
I hope this information was helpful, Bryan, and that you have an incredible visit to Walt Disney World Resort with maximum magic and minimum waits! If you have any additional questions as your vacation approaches, feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
