Hi, Lori! Thanks so much for making a return trip to planDisney. I hope our past advice has been helpful, and I'm delighted to help with your vacation planning question today.
How special that you'll soon be enjoying another
Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your grandkids! My mom has been able to join us on a few of our Disney adventures (as my grandparents did when I was a little Mouseketeer!), and I'm so glad that we all have had those experiences as a family.
I spoke to a Cast Member to clarify what needs to happen to activate your grandchildren's Sorcerer Passes, as this version of the
Walt Disney World Annual Pass is only available to Florida residents and Disney Vacation Club Members. Lori, they let me know that the Florida resident (and/or DVC Member) must be present at the time of activation.
I know this is inconvenient given her current situation--crutches are no fun! However, activation for the Sorcerer Passes requires proof of Florida residency, as well as a current photo ID. This can be accomplished at one of the theme park ticketing windows or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs, which may be a bit easier to navigate than one of the theme parks.
Hopefully, your family member is on the mend soon, and I hope they're able to join you for even more Disney adventures now that they're living so close to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Thanks again for visiting planDisney, Lori, and please don't hesitate to stop in anytime if our crew can help with your questions.
See Ya Real Soon!
Susan
