Hey Howdy Hey Anita and welcome back to planDisney!
Thank you so much for reaching out to me personally for your questions on Genie+. This process should be an easy one to purchase on the day of your park visit, the hard part is knowing where to find it! Let's go through some options that should work for your upcoming trip.
Purchasing
Genie+ you will be able to do on the day of your valid theme park reservation and ticket date. From your
My Disney Experience app, you can make this purchase in several ways. The first way, on your home screen, you should have a couple of options at the top to either "View My Day" for the general Disney Genie Service or underneath that one, you should see Disney Genie+ Service. That second one is the one that I would assume is not coming up for you. No worries! If you tap on the top one to "View My Day" this will bring you to today's date. The thing you are looking for here is the link to purchase Genie+. If you scroll down, you should see a banner that may say something like "More Magic" and a link for Genie+ which you will tap on to purchase.
If neither option works out for you, you can always search in the app for Genie+ which will bring the link up for you to purchase from there. The link will only work on the day of your ticket and reservation, but you can still walk through the steps to familiarize yourself.
Slinky Dog Dash is such a fun and exciting attraction for those brave enough, and tall enough, to ride! There is so much to do in Toy Story Land and I am thrilled to hear you will be planning to spend some time there! If you are wanting to make your Genie+ Lightning Lane selections for that attraction, I would encourage you to get on the app at 7:00 a.m. EST for your shot to do so. Just know, if you needed a specific time, like after 3:00 p.m., you might have to check back and refresh a bit. Lightning Lane selections are presented as options based on the earliest return windows and you most likely will not be able to get on the app and select a specific time throughout the day. So just stay vigilant with the times and checking but you should be set!
I hope I was able to give you a few options that work for Genie+ to at least go through the steps you would need on the day of your park visit. I also wanted to add that Disney has updated their site for a few helpful
"How To" videos that may help you further with your planning. Please
feel free to reach back out if you have any further questions, I would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
