Hi there, Suzanne. Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your question for us.
I’m delighted to see you’re planning a trip to the
Happiest Place on Earth with your husband. I bet you’re both excited for some pixie-dusted fun! I recently visited the Disneyland Resort theme parks and there’s so much to experience! I’m still in awe of the details and immenseness of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, plus the new Avengers Campus is pretty impressive.
It’s really not necessary for your husband to have a separate Disney account if the two of you are traveling together. You can have both your tickets linked to your Disney account. When you arrive to a Main Entrance turnstile, you can show your tickets’ barcodes on the
Disneyland mobile app to a Cast Member checking you in. Additionally, you can use the Disneyland mobile app to check attraction wait times, scroll through restaurant menus, and use it for food and beverage mobile orders at quick service dining locations.
Also, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disneyland Park and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure in Disney California Adventure Park utilize virtual queues that are only accessible via the Disneyland mobile app. You’ll have two chances each day (at 7 AM and 12 PM) to join these virtual queues, depending on which park(s) you select to visit. With both your tickets linked to your Disneyland mobile app, you can join the same boarding group.
As you continue to plan your upcoming trip, please don’t hesitate to stop by
planDisney again if you have additional questions. We’re all EARS!
Sending you pixie dusts,
Kiki
