Will be buying Christmas party tickets. Do tickets need to be linked to a reservation?

    Hi Cheri,

Welcome back to planDisney! I’m glad you stopped by for help with your future Walt Disney World Resort stay. Christmas is my favorite time of year to visit - the holiday decorations and festive offerings make it an even more magical time to stay at The Most Magical Place on Earth.

Planning to buy tickets for either (or both) of the specially ticketed holiday events is a great move. Whether it be Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or Disney Jollywood Nights, you are sure to have a fantastic time. Now that we are Halfway to the Holidays, this is a great time to start planning for the most wonderful time of the year. My family loved both events so much. At Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom you’ll have the chance to see some of our favorite Disney friends all dressed up in their best holiday outfits. You’ll also get to see amazing entertainment like Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas Parade and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. At Hollywood Studios, Jollywood Nights will dazzle you with the best holiday entertainment such as Disney Holidays in Hollywood with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy and the nighttime spectacular Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!

Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels, and Shades of Green will be able to purchase tickets for either event as early as July 9. While tickets don’t necessarily need to be linked to your reservation, you will want to make sure they are linked in your My Disney Experience account. This way, you can enter the event using your MagicBand+ or Disney’s MagicMobile Service. Additionally, you will want to make sure that your hotel reservation is linked in your My Disney Experience account so that you can purchase tickets on July 9. Guests not staying at a Disney resort hotel will not be able to purchase tickets until July 16. Check your account prior to the sale date to avoid any trouble when the tickets go on sale.

I hope this information is helpful, Cheri. If you have any additional questions about planning your future Disney World vacation please come by and see us here at planDisney again. Until then, TTFN… ta-ta for now!
