If we buy Walt Disney world tickets for October, 2020, and due to illness (Covid or other) cannot come to the park at that time, can we get a refund or our dates moved? If they must be moved, how far out will our tickets be good for? Thank you!!!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Catherine! Thanks for stopping by with your question.

Catherine, there is a special joy that goes into vacation planning with your family and I'm excited to hear that you're looking ahead to October to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth. Since we are experiencing uncertain times, I understand how important flexibility is right now. While the quick answer to your question is yes, let me explain a few specifics.

First, ticket prices are date-based and so you will find a bit of variability in prices between days of the week, dates and seasons. This means you would just need to pay the balance should you move your dates to a time when the ticket prices don't exactly match what you've already paid.

Second, currently guests are able to purchase tickets and vacation packages through the end of September 2021. So, if you are unable to travel this October, you would not be able to modify your plans past the date of current ticket sales.

Catherine, I hope this helps as you are working on building your perfect vacation! As you are planning, make sure to read all about the new Disney Park Pass system and check availability for the parks you are hoping to visit prior to purchasing those tickets. I would also encourage you to learn about the new health and safety measures you'll see at the parks and all around the Walt Disney World Resort.

Finally, if you do find yourself at the Walt Disney World Resort this fall and are ready to live your adventure at Disney's Hollywood Studios, make sure to check out the newest attraction, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. This one-of-a-kind ride plunges you into the cartoon world of the main man himself, Mickey Mouse and will have you smiling from ear to EAR.

Best wishes Catherine for a trip where all of your dreams come true. Please come on back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you might have.
