Hi Kelly!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
My simple answer to this question is Yes! I travel to Walt Disney World 2-3 times each year from the United Kingdom and I would not consider booking any trip without adding
travel insurance. While we wish for everything to be perfect and magical, sometimes things might go awry and we may need some financial cover or compensation to assist with that. I am not even necessarily talking about major disasters - if baggage is misplaced on your outward journey (assuming you are flying) you will probably need to buy some emergency clothes and personal items to get you through the first day or so (or maybe the whole trip!) -
some insurance plans would cover the cost of this. Also, even something as mildly irritating as your airline separating you from your luggage, and it arrives several hours after you do, there could be compensation for that. Then if we look at the bigger expenses such as cancellation of your trip, as upsetting as that would be, you do not want to lose the cost of the trip, even if at that time you are losing the trip itself. I just factor the cost of the travel insurance into the total cost of my holiday, along with all the lovely things such as the Disney Resort hotel, wonderful food, extra events in the theme parks such as Disney Early Morning Magic - Toy Story Land or a seasonal treat like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, or a
Fireworks Dessert Party. I cannot think of a better investment than safeguarding my magical trip.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your vacation to Walt Disney World.
