Hey Christian!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You've brought the perfect question to help you with your trip to the
Disneyland Resort!
It sounds like you’re a planner just like me and are trying to get all of your ducks in a row before your trip. As you mentioned, single day tickets are sold by tiers according to the date that you plan on going. If you bought a Tier 3 ticket, then you would be able to use it for a Tier 1, 2, or 3 day before the expiration date. If you wanted to go on a tier where it was a higher tier than what you purchased, then you would just pay the difference for the higher tier. If you purchased your ticket recently, the expiration date is 12/31/2021. Double check your ticket for the expiration date before you make your plans for the trip.
If your plans change and you are not able to go in September, you can use the ticket for a tier 1 day in November or any other tier 1 day before the ticket expires. If you were unable to use the ticket before it expires you would simply pay the difference for the new ticket price in effect. If it were up to me, I would go in November instead. Plan to go during Christmas time at the parks! There’s nothing else like the holidays in the parks and the Christmas Tree on Main Street U.S.A. will take your breath away.
