Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Summar. I'm so glad you stopped by with this great question! I'd love to help you plan your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort next week.
Magic Kingdom Park is my absolute favorite of the four theme parks. As soon as I step onto Main Street, U.S.A., and see Cinderella Castle in the distance, I can't help but get a bit teary-eyed. What can I say? It's just so magical! With the addition of
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, a visit to
Disney's Hollywood Studios has become an absolute must-do for my family's Disney vacations. Exploring the planet of Batuu is a force-filled experience that my young Padawans can't get enough of!
To visit both these theme parks in the same day, you'll need to
purchase a Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Option. The
Park Hopper Option allows you to "hop" from one theme park to another in a single day! Cool, right? When you purchase your Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Option on the Walt Disney World Resort website, you'll need to make a
Theme Park Reservation for the theme park you plan to visit
first. On the date of your scheduled visit, you'll enter that theme park in the morning (I recommend arriving as early as possible). Then, beginning at 2:00 PM, you'll be able to visit any of the other three theme parks with the Park Hopper Option.
When the Park Hopper Option returned to the Walt Disney World Resort last year, the Disney Parks Blog published a helpful infographic to explain how the new process works. Be sure to check it out!
Before purchasing your Theme Park Ticket, take a look at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. It looks like Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios are unavailable for the date you plan to visit. Not to worry! With the Park Hopper Option added to your Theme Park Ticket, you'll still be able to visit those parks on that date. When you purchase your Theme Park Ticket, you'll need to make a Theme Park Reservation for either
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park or
EPCOT (if those are your only options). Enter the park you have a reservation for first. Then, at 2:00 PM, you can hop to Magic Kingdom Park and then to Disney's Hollywood Studios, or the other way around!
I hope this was helpful, Summar. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
