Hi there, Eugenia! We are so happy you found your way to planDisney. A holiday trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is one of the best ways to ring in the merriest time of year! You'll be strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. in no time with a hot chocolate in hand, humming your favorite holiday tunes.
The holly jolly of the season brings lots of Guests to the magic, so you are on the right track to start planning out your days and nights on the early side. I think I have some good news for you!
Tickets and
theme park reservations are now available through mid-February, so you should have no issues purchasing those tickets. As of today, the
theme park reservation calendar is completely open for December, but I do recommend getting your Disneyland ducks in a row sooner rather than later. You'll want to secure those reservations as soon as possible. The good news is that if you purchase your tickets on the Disneyland website, you will make the reservations as part of the check-out process. Just a few taps of your magic wand, and you should be on your way!
Now that we've gotten you through those Main Entrance Gates, let's talk a bit about how you are going to spend your days.
Park Hours and the Entertainment Schedule are typically posted about six weeks ahead of time, so you're almost there! Right now, I can see that information has loaded through the end of November, so I would check back in about two weeks.
Dining reservations are now open as well through December 15th! It's a great idea to try to get some of these on your calendar ahead of time. I love a midday break at the parks. It's a great way to recharge for the fun afternoon and evening ahead! On occasion, reservations for dining and Enchanting Extras will open up less than 60 days out. If you are finding this to be the case for a particular reservation, continue to check daily. At some point, the Fairy Godmother will wave her magic wand and the calendar will open up!
I'd love to make one merry recommendation. If you're like me and love all the nostalgia that comes with the Disneyland Resort, then there's nothing better than nostalgia with some holiday cheer!
The Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour has just returned, and it promises to celebrate all the joy of the season with glimpses into the magic in both parks as well as the resort. This is a 2.5-hour walking tour complete with reserved viewing for A Christmas Fantasy Parade where you will catch a glimpse of the big guy himself ... and here we are talking Santa, not Mickey!
Eugenia, I hope this helped in planning a little holiday magic. If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Be merry!
Tara
