Hello Ed,
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, where we like to share our own tips and experiences as a way to help you plan your Disney destination vacations. It's great to hear you're starting to plan your trip to the Disneyland Resort.
It's helpful to know that
theme park tickets for the Disneyland Resort are nonrefundable. It's also helpful to know that theme park tickets have expiration dates that offer a time period for their valid use. In the example of any multi-day tickets you would purchase today, the expiration date for a multi-day ticket would be January 12, 2023. (Once a multi-day ticket is used for admission, the ticket would need to be used within 13 days of the day it's first used.)
One more note about theme park tickets that's helpful to know is that the price paid for unused, expired theme park tickets typically can be applied to the purchase of new theme park tickets.
Ed, while I can't speak to any future theme park ticket policies or park operation situations, I can point out that the expiration dates for theme park tickets that were purchased before the previous park closure were modified and extended.
Take a look at the "Modifications and Cancellations" information and you can get an idea of how those modifications were put in place.
If you do have theme park reservations that you need to change, you can cancel the theme park reservations using the
"My Theme Park Reservations" features in the Disneyland Resort account, and then make new theme park reservations.
I hope this information helped with your question, Ed, and if you have additional questions about theme park tickets, you can
reach out to the Disneyland Resort Ticket Services team at (714) 781-4636.
Ed, be sure to
follow the Disney Parks Blog as a great way to keep up to date about all the new and exciting offerings coming to the Disneyland Resort.
Here's wishing you a wonderful and fun visit to the Disneyland Resort!
Jerry
