Hey there,
Heather, thank you stopping by planDisney. This is a great question and I will be happy to help. Let’s get this party started!
Visiting
Walt Disney World during New Year’s Eve has always been on my bucket list. It just looks like an amazing time every year. This day is a very popular day to visit, and sometimes gets sold out. So if you have an opportunity to purchase your tickets, I would do so as soon you can. There are a few ways to purchase these tickets and one of my favorite ways to do everything Disney is with the perfect “mouseketool.” The
My Disney Experience App helps you plan your trip from start to finish. It also holds all of your ticket information as well as credit card if you choose to link it. This makes payments even easier if you pay with a MagicBand+. If you already have the app downloaded once you open it, there is a "+" symbol in the middle of the page at the bottom. Tap on that "+" symbol and you will then be presented with a number of options, one of them being “Buy Tickets and Passes.” From here you will see some of the
Special Offers as well as just the regular ticket prices. You can select from a 1-day ticket, to a 10-day ticket. Also, the options for any of the special events are usually listed here too. You will want to select New Year’s Eve as one of the days you will be visiting. If you have issues here you can always
call for assistance as well.
Once you have your tickets purchased, and you show up at the parks on New Year’s Eve, you will notice that the park will start to fill up pretty quickly. This is because once the park is at capacity, no one else will be allowed in. If you are already in the park and leave for a midday break, you will not be allowed back in if the park is already full. The two parks that historically party until midnight are the
Magic Kingdom and
EPCOT. Both look like great nights you will never forget. But both offer very different experiences. Magic Kingdom gives you a little more of a family atmosphere. Where Epcot in most parts of World Showcase, a party with DJs and dance floors is pumping music. Each country will display how they celebrate ringing in the new year. Both look to be great times, but you will have to choose one and visit the other on another New Year’s Eve.
I know this visit is going to be amazing time full of memories. If you have other planning questions, stop by
