Hiya, Sara! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
The beginning stages of planning a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth is often my favorite, because "the World" is your oyster! The quick answer to your question is, Yes. You may purchase a ticket for yourself and any guest, but make sure to check the
various types of tickets.
For example, since you are a Florida resident you have access to
Special Offers only for Florida residents. If your guest is not a Florida resident, you can purchase a separate ticket for him or her.
I would recommend purchasing your tickets in advance of your visit so that you can take advantage of the
Fastpass+ system! If you're unfamiliar, this allows you to skip the standby line and pre-book three attractions per day, per park. You will also want to create a
My Disney Experience account to manage all of your plans in one place.
Also, it may help as you are considering your tickets to know that Walt Disney World Resort
park rules state that guests under age 14 must be accompanied into the Theme Parks by a guest over age 14 and children under age 7 cannot board an attraction without a responsible rider who is over age 14.
Sara, I hope this helps as you're at the beginning stages of planning your trip! Thanks for stopping by and come back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you might have!
