Greetings Alexa!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'd love to tell you a little bit more about purchasing
Disneyland Resort theme park tickets and adding the amazing
Disney MaxPass feature. When you purchase your tickets online and add this feature at time of purchase, you will be given an electronic ticket. This electronic ticket will be exchanged for a hard ticket at the gate when you first enter the parks. It is this hard ticket that can be scanned and linked directly to the
Disneyland app. If you had already purchased MaxPass, you can immediately start making FASTPASS selections from the app after your ticket is linked. If you didn't add MaxPass at time of purchase, you can always add it to the app after your ticket is linked and you have entered the parks.
Using a Park Hopper ticket with Disney MaxPass means you are able to make FASTPASS selections on your mobile device FOR either park FROM either park. This will save you many footsteps while allowing you to experience more attractions than ever before. One of my favorite tips for using MaxPass is to set an alarm on your phone when the app states you are allowed to pick your next FASTPASS return time. We found by doing this we weren't even able to keep up with all the FASTPASS selections we were able to make!
Don't forget that Disney MaxPass also includes unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass pictures each day this feature is purchased. This means with the time you will be saving using FASTPASSES, you can pose for more photo ops to capture those magical memories.
I can't wait for you to experience the wonder of a Disneyland Resort vacation. Have a Fantasmic day!
