Hello Abigail, welcome to planDisney!
It's lovely to chat with a fellow Canadian and assist with a question about
Walt Disney World Resort. You must be getting excited - your trip is just around the corner! Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets can be purchased a number of different ways so let's take a look.
Theme park tickets can be purchased over the phone, online, or in person at any Guest Relations window at all theme parks and water parks (
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park), as well as at the Welcome Centre in
Disney Springs. You can pay for tickets using all major credit cards, debit cards, and cash.
If you're interested in adding the Lightning Lane Multipass to your tickets, it's best to purchase your tickets in advance. The Lightning Lane Multipass lets you pre-select up to three attractions. Guests staying onsite can make their selections for their entire stay 7 days in advance, while those staying offsite can plan their attractions 3 days in advance.
I'm always looking for ways to save money when planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. One of the easiest and most effective methods I've found is using Disney Gift Cards for purchases like theme park tickets, merchandise, dining, and entertainment. Canadian residents can buy physical Disney Gift Cards in Canadian dollars from various retailers, including most grocery chains and large stores. When these gift cards are used for online transactions through the U.S. Disney website (such as for park tickets) or in person, the funds are converted to American dollars using the previous night's exchange rate, and the remaining balance will be shown in U.S. dollars on your receipt. Many Canadians prefer this method as it eliminates the additional conversion fees typically associated with credit cards and serves as a convenient way to budget for a trip.
Abigail, I hope this information helps with your vacation planning. If you have any other questions, please
let me know, I'm happy to help!
Make magical memories,
Candace
