Hello Danielle!
Welcome to planDisney! The New Year approaches and it must be so much fun to be in Walt Disney World when it happens. It is my "happy place" and I hope you find some joy and a loved one to celebrate with!
Concrete details regarding all New Year's Eve events are scarce. Two things that I can confidently share with you as they are noted on the
Hours & Events Calendar is that Magic Kingdom Park will have a special presentation of Fantasy In the Sky Fireworks at 11:50 PM. I'm sure this means that right before midnight there will be a spectacular countdown to 2024. EPCOT has posted that there will be Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration at 11:54 PM as well! However, to be in the Parks to see these shows you will have to have a valid ticket and
theme park reservation to this park. Unfortunately, if you have not secured a theme park reservation yet there are none available at this time. It seems every Park that is opening till midnight or later is fully reserved with no availability. Magic Kingdom Park closes at 1:00 AM, Disney's Hollywood Studios is set to close at midnight and EPCOT is closing at 1:00 AM. My only suggestion for getting into these Parks is to purchase a ticket with the Park Hopper option and make a theme park reservation for Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park which does have availability and then hop to any Park at 2:00 PM that will let you. I say this is a possibility as there is a chance if the Parks reach capacity they may not allow Park hopping. Make sure to check your My Disney Experience Mobile App and speak to Cast Members while on-site for updates.
I don't want to leave you without any ideas so here are some alternatives. If you are staying on-site at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you may see activities posted for their resort guests to ring in the New Year!
Disney's BoardWalk is also a fun location to experience two exciting late-night attractions perfect for adults!
Jellyrolls closes at 1:45 AM on Disney's BoardWalk.
Atlantic Dance Hall, which is nearby, is scheduled to close at 1:00 AM and is a lovely ballroom with a dance floor perfect for partying. You must be 21 years of age or older and there is an admission fee for Jellyrolls. I have a feeling these two locations will be very popular so make sure you head on over before they reach capacity.
I hope this helps and you have a lovely new year!
Happy New Year!
