With
Halloween Time upon us and the big day just around the corner, I know a lot of Guests are gearing up to visit the parks this week. One thing to note is that all Guests must have a
theme park ticket and a
theme park reservation to enter the parks. While the ticket is your admission to get through those Main Entrance Gates, the reservation holds your spot in a particular park on a particular day. Reservations are limited and subject to availability. I think this might be what is posing a challenge to securing those Halloween night tickets!
As part of the ticket purchase process, you are asked to choose the date(s) that you plan to visit. This is where you are making your theme park reservation. If dates are crossed out in the
theme park reservation calendar, it's because there are currently no reservations available for those dates. In some cases, you might see the date in blue with the icon for Disneyland Park and/or Disney California Adventure Park. These dates are open for the park indicated. You can take a look at the theme park reservation calendar at any time to see which dates are available. Be sure to toggle to your ticket type - One Park Per Day or Park Hopper - as they both hold their own pool of reservations. As of this moment, I can see that the 31st is available for one One Park Per Day ticket holders who want to go to Disney California Adventure Park.
I know, this is a lot to take in and not the news you were hoping for, but let's not give up hope quite yet! Guests are always changing their plans and reservations can be canceled and rescheduled. The calendar updates to these modifications, so if you continue to check, you may see some reservations open up. It will definitely take a little faith, trust, and pixie-dusted patience!
While I know this may not be a practical solution, I do want to let you know that
Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests have access to their own set of reservations, and October 31st is currently available at both parks. This would require a night of hotel accommodation at the
Disneyland Hotel,
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, or
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel for the evening. In addition to having access to those theme park reservations, you would also be able to take advantage of
Early Entry! Thirty extra magical minutes in the parks ahead of opening just for hotel Guests! Staying in the magic for a night at the Happiest Place on Earth can be a special way to close out the Halloween season!
