If you buy tickets directly with disney, what category does it show up on credit cards?

    Hey there, Amanda!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney to ask us a question. Are you thinking about how you can earn a bonus on your credit card while buying your theme park tickets? That’s very smart!

In my experience, Disneyland Resort tickets purchased directly from Disneyland.com are usually coded as “entertainment” on credit card statements. However, if you plan to get your tickets as part of a complete vacation package from the Walt Disney Travel Company that includes your hotel accommodations and tickets all in one purchase, that transaction may appear under the “travel” category.

Additionally, if you are a Disney Visa Cardmember, you can currently save 10% on select purchases when you use either your Disney Visa Card or Disney Rewards Redemption Card to pay at select locations at The Happiest Place on Earth! Be sure to add your Disney Visa Card as a method of payment in the Disneyland mobile app so you can take advantage of these savings when you use Merchandise Mobile Checkout at the resort.

I hope this answers your question, Amanda, and that your vacation is a dream come true! Please don’t hesitate to write back for more advice as your trip draws near.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
