    Can I buy tickets on the day of visit? We can’t plan too much in advance due to basketball camp

    Hi Nerissa! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question!

    It is a dream of mine to one day plan a trip to Australia! I'm holding out hope that maybe EPCOT will add this country to the World Showcase so I can experience it in some form. Traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort from your home country seems like a long journey, but I'm sure once you arrive on-site it was well worth it. I hope you are getting excited about your upcoming visit! Your countdown is just over a month away!

    Being a father of two young children, I completely understand how busy and unpredictable your schedule can be. Not knowing exact dates for certain events can make planning and scheduling extremely difficult. In regards to your upcoming visit, theme park tickets to any of the four theme parks can be purchased on the day of your visit. But to enter any of the parks, you are required to make a park reservation as well. Park reservations are subject to availability and not guaranteed even with the purchase of a ticket. I suggest checking the park availability calendar before making your purchase. 

    Here are a couple of options to consider for your trip. 

    1. Purchase your tickets now and make park reservations as soon as possible. Although the tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, they will not lose their value over time. You'll be able to use the value toward a future ticket purchase if you are unable to use them at this time.
    2. Wait until you are positive you can visit the parks to purchase your tickets. If the park you want to visit is unavailable, I suggest purchasing a Park Hopper ticket and make a park reservation to another park that you want to spend time at. Then, starting at 2 PM, you can hop over to the park you originally wanted as long as the park has not reached capacity.

    If you can make it to the parks during your visit, you are in for a treat. Over at EPCOT, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is set to debut at the end of this month and is ready for you to ride during your stay. I have heard some amazing stories from Annual Passholders and fellow planDisney panelists that were able to ride this attraction as a preview leading up to the big day. You are not going to want to miss out on this experience!
