Greetings, Chris, and welcome to planDisney! I love that you want to gift the magic of the Disneyland Resort this holiday season.
Chris, when you purchase theme park tickets on the
Disneyland website, you will need to select reservation dates as part of the process. There's a level of convenience in doing everything in a single transaction. I understand it can be tricky, however, when gifting the tickets. The good news is that the
reservation dates can easily be changed.
After you make your purchase, Chris, you should receive an email with a link to access the eTickets. I've found that it's nice to print the eTicket when giving it as a gift. They'll have a few options for handling their ticket, but the best is to link it to their MyDisney account
on the website or
mobile app. If the ticket is printed out, they'll be able to easily scan it into the app.
Another option, if you don't want to deal with theme park reservations, would be to purchase a
Disney Gift Card. There are charming designs to choose from, including one option celebrating the Disneyland Resort's 70th Anniversary. The gift cards can be purchased in amounts up to $500, and you can also combine cards to reach a maximum value of $1,000 on a single card. You can use one Disney Gift Card per transaction when purchasing theme park tickets on the Disneyland website. Any remaining funds can be used at various locations in the park to buy food or souvenirs!
The Disneyland Resort 2026 calendar of events was recently released on the
Disney Parks Blog – take a look and see if there's anything you might want to call out as part of your gift. There's so much to look forward to at the parks! I'm particularly excited for
Bluey and Bingo to arrive.
Chris, I hope this information has sprinkled some pixie dust on your plans. If you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help at planDisney! Congratulations in advance for choosing such a special gift – I'm sure it will bring some big smiles on Christmas morning.
Happy holidays,
Kriss
