Welcome, Karen, to planDisney! This is a place where you can come to ask all of your Disney vacation planning questions, and we’ll answer them with a smile.
While you can usually purchase
theme park tickets on the day of your visit, it’s strongly recommended that you purchase them ahead of time. However, to do so, you’ll need to know the dates you’re planning to visit the parks, as theme park tickets are tied to the days of your visit. That being said, if you’re purchasing a multi-day ticket, there is a small window of dates during which you can visit the parks. So while you’ll select a start date, you don’t necessarily have to use the ticket on that exact day. For example, a 2-day ticket is valid for 4 days beginning on your selected start date, and a 3-day ticket is valid for 5 days beginning on your start date. Be sure to refer to
the ticket expiration timelines for specific details.
It appears you’ll be visiting the resort in March, which is perfect timing for the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, running from March 4 through June 1, 2026. This has become
my favorite EPCOT festival thanks to its Outdoor Kitchens, incredibly intricate
topiaries and flower displays, and the
Garden Rocks Concert Series. One experience I treasure each year is Butterfly Landing, presented by AdventHealth. It’s a beautiful, immersive walkthrough butterfly garden. The last time I visited, a butterfly landed on another Guest right in front of me without her even noticing. I politely told her not move, asked if she wanted me to take a picture, snapped the photo, and happily shared it with her. These are the moments of community and love that the
Walt Disney World Resort so often brings out in perfect strangers.
Karen, best wishes as you plan your Floridian escape! If you have any other questions,
please don’t hesitate to reach out again.
Sending you sunshine, blooms, and a little Disney magic,
Matt
