    Can I buy a ticket for someone else but the ticket is under my name?

    Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with a question! 

    I am happy to report that you are welcome to purchase Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets for someone else to use. You may be required to enter the name of the person using each ticket at checkout. But please do not worry about spelling or name accuracy. That’s because upon arrival a Cast Member will take a picture of the person using each ticket. From then on the ticket is associated with the person in the picture, not the name on the ticket.  

    And while you cannot assign the tickets to them, I do recommend that the person receiving the tickets links them to their Disneyland Mobile App. Please instruct them to visit the “Tickets and Passes” section of the App and tap the ‘+’ symbol in the upper-right corner. Use the “Link Tickets & Passes” button to add each ticket. They’ll have the option to scan the ticket barcode or manually enter the numbers. Then the tickets will show on their account as well.
