Hello April, thanks for coming to planDisney with your great question!
I'm happy to hear you are considering attending
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! This is my favorite party that Walt Disney World offers. The snow on Main Street, U.S.A. is so magical, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is so much fun to watch and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show is spectacular! If you like to dance, there are fun dance parties, or if you are like me and prefer to watch the dancers, you can do so as you enjoy the cookies and hot cocoa that are offered at no additional charge. There are character greeting locations where you can find Disney characters decked out in their holiday outfits. So much fun to be had!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place from 7:00 pm to midnight. The ticket to this event does not serve as a ticket to the park for the entire day. However, with this special event ticket, you are welcome to enter
Magic Kingdom Park any time after 4:00 pm. If you enter the park prior to 7:00 pm, look for special signage at the park entrance as you may be guided to use certain turnstiles to enter the park to receive your wristband.
Personally, I typically do not visit a park the same day as the party. Instead, I opt to sleep in and have a relaxing day doing other non-park activities. I find this to be a great time to visit other Disney resorts to view their holiday decorations and stop for lunch along the way. My favorite resorts to visit include Disney's Grand Floridian (visiting the giant gingerbread house is a must-do!), Disney's Beach Club Resort (the gingerbread carousel is incredible!) and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge but all resorts are decorated for the holidays. I then enter the party at 4:00 pm to get the best value for my ticket. It's a great way to get in the holiday spirit!
Lastly, I'd like to mention that tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party tend to sell out early so if you are interested, you may want to purchase your tickets as soon as your decision is made.
I hope you find this information helpful. Thanks again for stopping by planDisney!
