Do I just have to buy another ticket to add on?

    Hi Franchesca!

Welcome to planDisney. It's time to pack up the Minnie ears! You must be so excited that your trip is just a few days away!

It sounds like you already have a one-day ticket for next week in place. There are a few options for you if you are interested in extending your stay. Yes, you can purchase an additional one-day ticket or you can upgrade to a multi-day ticket by calling Guest Services or visiting the Main Entrance Ticket Booth upon arrival. Generally speaking, it is usually more cost-effective to try to upgrade to a multi-day ticket, but since we are so close to your arrival and theme park reservation availability for next weekend is looking pretty full, I would not necessarily recommend that route in this instance. Let's break out your options and find the best way to get you some extra time at the Happiest Place on Earth!

Purchasing an Additional One-Day Ticket: when you purchase a new ticket, it will ask you to make a theme park reservation. Currently, I'm not seeing availability on February 24th or 26th, but there are openings on Sunday, February 27th for both a One Park Per Day Ticket to Disneyland Park and for Park Hopper tickets. As part of the return to the magic, both a valid theme park ticket and theme park reservation are required to enter the parks. This is not to say that reservations will not become available. Guests are always changing their plans and reservations are updated in real-time. If anyone does decide to cancel, you will see an opening in the calendar. Guests are required to cancel by 11:59 p.m. the evening before. If you go this route but your preferred date is not available, you will still need to select a date for your reservation. You can always cancel it if your preferred date opens up! Your ticket will be valid through December 30, 2023 so if for some reason you don't end up using it next week, you have quite a runway (and maybe the perfect excuse!) to come back!

Upgrading to a Multi-Day Ticket: if we were a bit farther out from your visit and there was more availability, I would recommend upgrading to a multi-day ticket. Upgrades can be made at the Main Entrance Ticket Booths or by calling Guest Services ahead of time. A few caveats here to keep in mind: 1) Reservations do not transfer to new tickets, so you would lose your current reservation and need to rebook. Given how tight availability is for your dates, I would not want to lose the reservation you already have 2) if you wait to upgrade in person at the Ticket Booths, you are subject to day-of reservation availability.

Stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel: another option would be to treat yourself to a night at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels! There is a separate pool of reservations available for hotel Guests which does show availability for next weekend! If you decide to explore this option, I would start by calling the Guest Services team specializing in Vacation Packages at (714) 520-5060 to discuss the particulars of your situation and the hopes for a ticket upgrade. They have a whole stash of pixie dust for situations just like this!

The magic is almost yours. Enjoy!
