I want to buy a SoCal resident ticket but my ID isn’t updated with my current address. Is there any way I can show proof of my job, bank statement, utility bill or anything to show proof of residency? In addition, do you have any senior citizen discounts?

Hi Jerett, thanks for visiting us at planDisney! I love the Southern California Resident Ticket because of the fantastic savings it provides. Actually, my dad used this ticket to join us at Disneyland today – he hadn't visited in years and was able to experience it with his three young grandkids. It was a special day for our big group, and thanks to this ticket, we are looking forward to two more magical days together in the park soon. All to say, I'm very familiar with this ticket and am happy to provide some helpful information on this offer!

To use the SoCal Resident Ticket, you must show a government-issued photo ID at the gate, like a California Driver's License or California ID, to prove your eligible residency within ZIP codes 90000 to 93599. Unfortunately, utility bills, bank statements, student IDs, and similar items won't be accepted as proof.

But here's some good news: SoCal Resident Tickets can be used through May 15, 2025, so you still have lots of time to update your ID with your current address and take advantage of the discount.

I'd suggest planning a trip around the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival (February 28 - April 21), one of my favorite events of the year! You can sample delicious food with a Sip and Savor Pass, enjoy culinary demonstrations and other entertainment, and more. Of course, no visit is complete without meeting Chef Goofy! You can visit the Disney Parks Blog to check out other exciting things coming to the Disneyland Resort this year.

You can visit the Special Discounts and Offers page on the Disneyland website to view all of the active offers for the Disneyland Resort. There are not currently discounts listed for seniors, but there are offers for other qualified groups, including active and retired US military personnel. If you live in a ZIP code eligible for the SoCal Resident Ticket and are able to update your ID, that would be your best bet for magical savings. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help!

    Take care,
