Hey Christie, welcome back to planDisney! It's so exciting to hear from you again. We're all thrilled about your upcoming trip to Disney World, and I can't wait to help you make it a truly magical experience.
I totally get it that changes can bring up lots of questions, but let me tell you, the
new Lightning Lane passes are just fantastic! Being a planner myself, I love having the ability to plan ahead and cut down on wait times for attractions.
So, with the Lightning Lane Single Pass, you can buy and make up to 2 selections in advance, with a maximum of 2 selections per day. This rule is set up to make sure everyone gets to enjoy their favorite rides, especially the popular new ones. You can make both selections at the start of the day or pick the second one later on. The idea is to give you as much flexibility as possible and put you in control of how you spend your day.
I also had a chat with some lovely Cast Members, and they confirmed that you can't buy Single Passes for the same ride. And even if you have
a Park Hopper ticket or an Annual Pass, the limit of two passes per day still applies. For instance, you could get a Single Pass at Magic Kingdom for
TRON Lightcycle / Run and then another one for
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind on the same day.
I really hope this info helps you navigate the new system, Christie! If you have more questions or need further clarification,
please don't hesitate to reach out. We're always here and happy to assist our wonderful friends like you.
Cheers
Nilson
