Hi! If I were to buy a single park pass (let's say just Disneyland and not California Adventure), can I buy a park hopper pass once in the resort if I decide that I want to go to California Adventure? Does it cost more than if I purchased in advance?

Hey there, Marco! It’s my pleasure to welcome you to planDisney—you’re definitely in the right place to get your question answered!

I totally understand why you're considering upgrading to a Park Hopper ticket—there's so much to see and do at the Disneyland Resort! I love the flexibility a Park Hopper offers. Imagine starting your day exploring the classic attractions of Disneyland Park, hopping over to Disney California Adventure Park for a delicious lunch and some high-energy entertainment, and then heading back to Disneyland Park to catch a dazzling nighttime spectacular! It's truly the best of both worlds!

Here's some great news: if you've purchased a standard 1-park-per-day ticket, you should absolutely be able to upgrade it to a Park Hopper. The cost to upgrade would be the same as if you had purchased it in advance—you'll simply pay the difference in price between your current ticket and the Park Hopper option. No extra fees for waiting!

You have a few convenient ways to make this upgrade. Before your visit, you might be able to upgrade directly through the Disneyland mobile app. Just open the app, tap the menu (☰) button, and select "My Tickets & Passes". Look for your ticket and see if there's a "modify" or "change" button. If you see it, you might be just a few taps away from more magic!

If the app isn't showing the option, don't worry! A friendly Cast Member is ready to help. I recommend giving the tickets hotline a call. They'll be happy to assist you with upgrading your ticket to a Park Hopper over the phone.

And if you prefer to upgrade in person, or if you're already at the Disneyland Resort having the time of your life and decide you need that Park Hopper option right then and there, simply head over to a ticket booth near the Main Entrance Esplanade. A Cast Member there should be able to help you upgrade on the spot!

Marco, with the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration happening across both theme parks, the resort hotels, and even the Downtown Disney District, a Park Hopper ticket will truly help you maximize your Disney day and ensure you don't miss a moment of the festivities! This monumental celebration is filled with special entertainment, delicious treats, and unique merchandise you won't want to miss! My personal favorite is the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade—the music is so incredibly catchy, you'll be humming it all day!

I hope this helps you sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your Disneyland Resort plans, Marco! If any other questions pop up as you prepare for your magical visit, please don't hesitate to ask!
