Makalee from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

If I were to buy a single day ticket and couldn’t come on the day, would I be able to use the tickets at a later date??

Hey Howdy Hey Makalee and welcome to planDisney!

I bet you are getting super excited about your trip that is coming up in a couple of weeks! There is so much happening right now in Walt Disney World Resort that I am sure you have your list full of must-do Magical experiences in the parks! Thank you for your questions about changing the dates of your tickets. This can be a super easy process to do so let's walk through the steps.

First and foremost, you are right that if you are unable to attend the parks when initially planned, you can change the dates easily from your My Disney Experience account. Just know this is only in reference to regular theme park tickets and does not include special event tickets like Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party.

To change the date of your ticket, log onto your My Disney Experience account. Scroll to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section and look for the heading "My Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker". After you click on the heading, you should be taken to a screen that has your tickets listed and the members of your party they are assigned. You should also see under the tickets a blue hyperlink for "Change Ticket". If you click on that, it will give you some options, one of which would be to change the date of usage. You can scroll through other dates later in the future to change your ticket and you should be all set.

I will forewarn you that tickets are priced specifically for certain parks, days and times of the year so if you change from the date of original purchase to a later date that is more expensive, you will be charged the difference in pricing. Tickets also do come with expiration dates on them but you still do have options. If you wanted to change the date of the ticket past the ticket's expiration date, you would need to call Disney and talk to a Cast Member about doing this. In most cases, they will have the ability to apply what you paid for your ticket to a new ticket with a later expiration date so you still would be able to use it.

Now, a whole lot is happening in Walt Disney World this time of year but one of my favorite experiences is over in EPCOT. You will have the opportunity to visit the super popular EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival happening throughout the park. This festival is a true celebration of everything food and drinks with seasonal offerings and entertainment on most nights you won't want to miss! Disney Parks Blog has a great Foodie Guide to navigate you through all of the amazing offerings available throughout the park to make planning your day a bit easier!

I hope you can visit the Vacation Kingdom of the World really soon, but if not, I hope you can reschedule your trip to the Magic really soon. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out and let us know, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
