Welcome to planDisney, Floyd! I'm glad you've stopped by with your question about
tickets.
Floyd, the park hopper option is a great way to maximize your time, but keeping a budget in mind, I understand not wanting to purchase these upfront. I'm happy to report that you ARE able to add on the
park hopper option later, however there are a few caveats to keep in mind.
First, should you add on the park hopper option, it will be for the entire length of your ticket. For example, if you purchase a 4-Day ticket, you could upgrade to a 4-Day park hopper ticket, but could not upgrade only one day.
Next, regardless of when you purchase the park hopper option, it will be added to the full length of your ticket. For example, if you decide on day 3 of your trip (with a 4-Day ticket) that you'd like to add on the park hopper for the final two days, you will still be charged for a 4-Day park hopper ticket.
Floyd, in both of these examples, my best recommendation is to decide on the very first day of your vacation if the park hopper option is beneficial for your family. My family and I have had vacations both with park hopper tickets and with standard (one park per day) tickets and enjoyed every Magical moment in both circumstances. In this case personal preference really is key but should you need any additional recommendations, I hope you'll come on back to planDisney.
Since you're visiting in November, you'll be just in time to start celebrating
the Holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort! Take a few moments and read all about the special touches and festive decor you'll find at all four theme parks, Disney Springs and at Disney Resorts Collection hotels. My favorite decorations are vintage inspired and found at
Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Wishing you a pixie dusted visit,
Lauren
