Welcome to planDisney, Ann!
What a great question, and I'm so glad you're planning some time at
Magic Kingdom Park during the
Christmas season. Seriously, Ann... seeing Main Street, U.S.A. decked out in twinkling lights, hearing festive music fill the air, smelling the waft of seasonal treats, and catching that first glimpse of Cinderella Castle sparkling with Christmas cheer... Wow, you're in for a magical day!
If you have a regular theme park ticket for Magic Kingdom Park on a day when
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party takes place, you'll be able to enjoy the park during regular operating hours, which typically end at 6:00 PM on party nights. After that time, Cast Members will begin checking for event wristbands, which are given only to Guests with party tickets. Those without wristbands will be kindly directed toward the exit once the party officially begins.
Here's a tip to help you make the most of your day: since your time in the park will end a bit earlier, plan to arrive right at opening, or even take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry if you're staying at a
Disney Resort hotel! That way, you can experience plenty of attractions before the evening festivities begin. And if you're still in a festive mood after leaving, consider hopping over to
Disney Springs for a sweet treat and some holiday shopping.
Happy planning, Ann!
Mike
