Hi Betsy! Welcome to planDisney! I can see that you are just a few short weeks away from your time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
While it would be nice to tap into Moana's wayfinding skills, sometimes you just need a good, classic map to guide you through the parks. I totally get it, especially when it comes to a map of the
Disneyland Resort which in and of itself is a fun keepsake. I'm delighted to tell you that complimentary Guide Maps and Entertainment Schedules are available when you scan through the gates at both
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park. Just be sure to ask the Cast Member if you don't see them readily available. Sometimes, in my excitement, I forget to pick one up on the way in! If this is the case, you should be able to find them at City Hall just to the left in Town Square after you pass underneath the
Disneyland Railroad at Disneyland Park or at the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park.
Even as a seasoned park-goer, I always like to have a Guide Map in my pocket. What I love most is that they are color-coded by land and detail both the attractions and dining options in each, including snack carts! If you find yourself with a craving, just give the map a glance and you'll be sure to know which direction to go. There's also an informative Legend that gives you information on everything from the locations of restrooms to attractions that have a height requirement to restaurants that require reservations and those that have
Mobile Ordering available and so much more!
I am so excited to see that you will be visiting during the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! While you are rubbing shoulders with some
Avengers and racing through
Radiator Springs, you can also enjoy this very special event celebrating the culinary delights of California! When I visited the park in December, there was even a Festival Guide handed to me at the entrance which included a map and details of the Disney Festival Of Holidays events. I would imagine something similar will be offered for the Food & Wine Festival! Beyond the delicious bites and sips, I can tell you that you won't want to miss the culinary demonstrations by Disney chefs - word is they will be sharing some Disney kitchen secrets!
Betsy, you are in for some very special magic and memory-making! If you have any more questions in your planning, you have a friend in us. We are always here for you at
planDisney!
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
