Can i buy parking before we get there? we are not staying at a resort

    Hi Lyndi!

Welcome to planDisney!  As my friend Tiana would say, your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is getting closer and closer every day, and now is the perfect time to start thinking about all those final details.

Lyndi, on the day of your visit, I'm sure you'll want to start your magical adventures as quickly as possible, so let's chat about a few things to make your arrival as smooth as possible.  Currently, parking is not available for purchase in advance of your arrival.  Instead, you can head straight to your theme park of choice and purchase it on the morning of your visit.  Each parking lot typically opens about an hour before the theme park it serves, and offers a choice of standard or preferred parking, subject to availability.

At EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you'll find trams available to take you from your car to the theme park entrance.  Parking at Magic Kingdom Park is a bit different, though, as you'll actually park at the Transportation and Ticket Center.  Similar to the other parks, trams will run throughout the parking lot; however, those trams won't take you directly to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom.  The tram will take you to the front of the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you'll have the option to take either a ferry or the Walt Disney World Monorail to the Magic Kingdom.  At whichever park you visit, I recommend using the Car Locator feature in your My Disney Experience Mobile App to record your parking location.  After a day full of rides, shows, food, and your favorite Disney characters, it can sometimes be tricky to remember exactly where you parked earlier in the day!

If you're planning to park hop during your visit, you'll be happy to know that you can drive between the theme parks and only need to pay for parking once per day.  Simply keep your parking receipt with you when you leave the first park and show it upon arrival at the next!

Lyndi, I hope this information has been helpful and that you enjoy a wonderful visit to "The Most Magical Place on Earth!"  You have a friend in us here at planDisney, so please stop by again if you have any other questions!

    See ya real soon,
    Kristi
