Hiya Mora’,
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your ticket question! How exciting that you’ll be visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth in less than a month. I bet you can’t wait to trade in those snowy Illinois mornings for sunny castle views and big warm hugs from the main mouse himself, Mickey!
Now, Mora, let’s jump right into your question. You can purchase your theme park tickets directly from the
Walt Disney World website. From there, you’ll select standard date-based theme park tickets, which means you’ll choose your start date at the time of purchase. You’ll also decide whether you’d like a one park per day ticket or a Park Hopper option, which lets you bounce between parks all in one day. Think of starting at
Hollywood Studios and ending the day watching
Happily Ever After at
Magic Kingdom,
First, you’ll choose how many days you want to visit. Then, you’ll pick your dates on the calendar. Once your dates are selected, you’ll choose between one park per day or adding
Park Hopper. Lastly, you’ll select how many tickets you need. Your tickets will be valid for admission to one theme park per day. They do not need to be used on consecutive days, and each ticket will have an expiration date. Just note that tickets are nonrefundable.
Another option is to purchase tickets at the ticket windows outside each park when you arrive. However, I highly recommend buying your tickets in advance, especially if you’d like to take advantage of
Lightning Lane selections. Lightning Lane Multi Pass lets you choose up to three attractions to enjoy with shorter waits, and you can also purchase a Single Lightning Lane for select popular rides.
For example, whenever we’re at Hollywood Studios, my oldest daughter makes it her mission to ride
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. It’s her top pick every single trip! Because it’s so popular, we almost always book a Single Lightning Lane for it. That way, we spend more time riding and less time waiting, which keeps the whole gang smiling.
If you’d rather have a little help from a real-life Fairy Godmother (also known as a Cast Member), you can always call
Tickets and Hotel Reservations, and a friendly Cast Member will be happy to assist you with purchasing your tickets.
Mora’, I hope this helps you feel ready to plan your park days like a true Disney pro. If you have any more questions as you prepare for your trip, please don’t hesitate to visit us again.
See ya real soon,
Christina
