Hiya, Patricia!
Welcome to planDisney and Welcome Home from a fellow Disney Vacation Member. There are so many Member Benefits that come along with DVC Membership that it's tough to choose a favorite, but discounts are at the top of my list! From getting great deals on dining and merchandise to special offers on experiences from the Enchanting Extras Collection, I love adding that extra sprinkle of Membership magic every time I visit Walt Disney World Resort. Since it looks like you'll be arriving in just a few weeks, I definitely recommend heading to the Disney Vacation Club website to check out all the special offers available for you during your upcoming stay.
While there are
lots of things DVC Members can do right from the
Disney Vacation Club website, Walt Disney World theme park admission isn't available for purchase in that spot. To buy tickets for your upcoming visit, you'll need to head over to the Walt Disney World website or you can purchase them directly from the
My Disney Experience mobile app (personally, this is my favorite way to buy tickets). Once you've finalized your purchase and received your confirmation, you'll want to be sure and link each ticket to a member of your traveling party. Again, I think the easiest way to do this is by using the My Disney Experience app. Simply tap on "Tickets and Passes" in the main menu, select the "+" sign at the top of the page, and choose "Link Tickets & Passes". From there, follow the on-screen prompts to scan the barcode you received in your confirmation email or enter the ID code manually to assign each ticket. And that's it! Whether you'll be using a MagicBand,
Disney MagicMobile Pass, or Key to the World Card, you'll be ready to hit the ground running when you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort.
And although it isn't unusual to find discounted tickets among your
DVC Member Benefits, special offers on Walt Disney World theme park admission aren't available at this time. Sales of most new Annual Passes –– including the
Disney Sorcerer Pass, which is exclusively available for DVC Members and Florida Residents –– are also currently paused. However, if you've already purchased tickets and sales resume before you arrive, you'll have the option to upgrade your ticket to that special DVC Annual Pass tier if you choose. All you'll need to do is visit any Walt Disney World
Guest Relations location to pay the difference in price between your existing ticket and the new Annual Pass. I was able to do this during my visit in November in less than 10 minutes –– it was quick and easy!
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Patricia. If you think of any other questions as you plan your upcoming vacation, please feel free to stop by again –– we're always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Amy
