If we buy park tickets with Canadian residence discount, we can still link it to our disney account?

Hey there Chelsea, welcome back to planDisney!

It's great to have you back here and I am absolutely honoured to be the next in the line of Canadians who have helped you with your Disney adventures. I'm also happy that 2024 came with the return of the very much desired Canada Resident Theme Park Ticket offer at a time when there was no telling whether we would see any more deals or discounts, with Canadians still adjusting to Disney bands and having to purchase them on arrival instead of receiving them in the mail!

I took this opportunity to head to the theme parks to have a chat with the Guest Relations Cast Members and also called the folks in charge of ticketing at Walt Disney World Resort directly to confirm that these tickets can and should be linked to your Disney account online when you access My Plans or via the My Disney Experience app. When you receive your confirmation email, use the details provided to link and assign your theme park tickets to each party member; the Cast Members advised me that guests who find it difficult to do this on their own can connect with them online if they are prompted to use the Chat function or by calling them directly to walk through the process.

Alternatively, heading directly in person to the Cast Members who can help you with this whether at Will Call windows by each theme park entrance, the front desk at Disney Resort Hotels or the Disney Springs Welcome Center is something you can also do when you arrive - especially when you're asked to provide proof of Canadian residency. On that note, it may be a good idea to keep your passport handy if you intend on purchasing any alcoholic beverages during your trip as I have observed select dining locations and lounges becoming increasingly stringent about requiring this around Walt Disney World Resort. Hope this helped, Chelsea! We look forward to seeing you back here at planDisney once again for more of your questions ahead of your upcoming Disney adventures!
