Hi there, Genesis! Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney to ask us your reservation question. The reservation system is bringing us many questions for new and returning Guests alike. Hopefully, we will get it all cleared up for you!
While the reservation system has separate pools of reservations for
Park Hopper tickets and One Park Per Day tickets, the reservation process is the same. For a Park Hopper ticket, you will only need to make one reservation. This reservation will be for your starting park. So, as you described at the time you asked the question, Disneyland Park was only available for the day you wanted. You would select Disneyland Park and this will be your starting park for the day, even though the reservation system will say something like Disneyland Park all day. At 1:00 p.m., you will be able to park hop over to Disney California Adventure Park to enjoy that park. Then you may go back and forth between the two parks for the rest of the day (based on availability).
When you hop over to Disney California Adventure Park, be sure to bring your appetite because
Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival is here! I was just there yesterday and I really enjoyed the Chile Relleno Empanada and the Sake Melon '75. Be sure to check out the
Foodie Guide on Disney Parks Blog to get a game plan of what you need to try. After you enjoy a few bites, be sure to visit
Soarin' Over California to take in all the wonderful sights and smells, including the Guest-favorite orange groves.
Genesis, I hope this helps clear up any reservation confusion you had as you are in the final countdown for your visit to The Happiest Place on Earth. See you real soon!
