Can I still buy paper tickets?

Hi, Nicholas!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

It sounds like you are planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation.  How exciting!  I would be happy to answer your question about buying theme park tickets.

If you haven't already done so, I would recommend that you first create a My Disney Experience account.  If you are logged into your My Disney Experience account when you purchase your theme park tickets online through the Walt Disney World website, they should link directly to your account.  If not, you can link your theme park admission to your My Disney Experience account using the confirmation number that you will be given when you complete your online purchase.

When you arrive at the gates of one of the Walt Disney World theme parks, you can simply take your ticket purchase confirmation and your ID to one of the ticketing windows.  There you will be given an admission card to use to enter the theme parks during your visit.  There's no need to worry about paper tickets.

If you will be using a MagicBand during your vacation, you will be able to access all of the information in your My Disney Experience account, including your theme park tickets, using your MagicBand.  If your tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account, there's no need to visit a ticket window.  Simply scan your MagicBand at the park gates and you will be ready to enter a world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.  At this time, Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel will receive MagicBands with their hotel stay.  MagicBands may also be purchased from shopDisney and many retail locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

It is important to note that as Walt Disney World Resort prepares for its reopening, the sale of 2020 theme park tickets has been temporarily paused.  Theme park tickets for the remainder of 2020 should once again be available to purchase later this summer.  If you are planning to travel during 2021, some vacation packages including a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel stay and theme park tickets are now available for booking.

If you have any additional questions as you plan for your visit, please don't hesitate to ask.  Have a magical day!
