If I buy a package and send it thru the delivery service to the hotel will they also send a packaged food item as well?

Hi Sarita!  The Disney park to resort package delivery system is a great perk for resort guests. It allows them to purchase items during their days in the parks and not have to tote them along with them the entire day.

You can send anything that is purchased in the stores in the parks. Obviously if something is perishable they will not allow that as there is no guarantee as to how long the package will be sitting before the delivery is made. You can't add your own personal items to the bag as I have been told they have to be accountable to the things that were purchased and they must match the receipt. You can take something with you on the receipt but you can't throw things in the bag that were not purchased. Hope this answers your question about what can be delivered.
