Hi Miniellie. It's so nice to virtually meet you. We love it when Guests discover our happy little corner of the internet!
Plans change. And there are some policies at the
Walt Disney World Resort that can help with that. So, if you're plans do indeed change, you should have some options. Let's go over them!
While
theme park tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable, the value you paid for them doesn't typically expire if your plans change. At this time, the value of a wholly unused ticket can typically be applied to a future ticket purchase. As you alluded, if your new ticket is more expensive, you are responsible for the difference; if it's less expensive, you will not receive a refund for the difference.
I hope that you find some time to visit the resort. And while "
now is the time, now is the best time" to visit, there will always be a best time. You see, the resort is constantly changing. New attractions, experiences, and restaurants (my favorite) are being added often. And that's especially true for the next few years and beyond.
Exciting new additions are coming in 2025...and then from there, it'll just keep ramping up. We are expecting big additions to
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park,
Magic Kingdom Park, and
Disney's Hollywood Studios. And while we don't have dates for many of these projects, and construction will take a while, it's something to look forward to and keep an eye on. Speaking of which, keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for all the new and exciting developments and announcements that are bound to come!
Miniellie, whenever you get to visit the resort, it's bound to be a great experience! If you have any other questions,
feel free to send them to me!
I hope you have a simply marvelous day,
Matt
