Hiya, Cheryl, and welcome back to planDisney!
As a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder myself, I always love helping fellow Guests decide whether or not they should become a member of the Passholder family. Spoiler alert: I'll always tell you it's a great idea! I mean, what's not to love about having the option to end any given day on Main Street, U.S.A.?!?
While my husband and I are regular visitors to The Most Magical Place on Earth, we've found that it works best for our vacation habits (and budget) for only one of us to be an Annual Passholder and the other to purchase standard theme park tickets as needed, so you'll have no problem implementing the same practice for your upcoming visit.
You can conveniently purchase your Annual Pass through the Walt Disney World website, and you'll have up to one year from the date of purchase to validate it by using it to enter one of Walt Disney World's theme parks. Once validated, it's good for a whole year of magic, and be sure to take advantage of the
fun perks and discounts available to you during each visit. You might also want to consider adding the Disney PhotoPass Downloads option to your pass for an additional fee so that you can relive your magical moments over and over again. It's one of my favorite parts of the pass!
While you can't use an Annual Pass to purchase tickets, you're more than welcome to vacation alongside someone without one. Your husband (or anyone else) will simply need to purchase his
theme park tickets separately. You'll just want to keep in mind that, depending on the ticket type, he might not be required to make theme park reservations in advance when you are. For more information on that, check out
this page.
I hope this clears things up for you, Cheryl, but if not, or if I misunderstood your question, don't hesitate to
reach back out to me directly. I'm more than happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
