If I buy the military season pass for me and family members do all have to be present when I activate the tickets?

    Hiya Lisa,

Welcome to planDisney! As the child of two veterans, I have fond memories of visiting Walt Disney World Resort with my family. We moved a lot, so family vacations were always very important to us. I love that Walt Disney World has given the gift of more magical and affordable vacations through the Disney Celebrates America Military Salute ticket for Eligible Service Members. My parents actually purchased one for my three-year-old for Christmas, so I’m excited for all the memories she'll make this year because of it.

Regarding the new ticket offer, thank you for your question. So let’s say that you, as the Eligible Service Member (or Spouse), are purchasing the Disney Celebrates America Military Salute ticket for yourself and 5 members of your family (since one of those tickets must be used by you). To use the tickets, each one must be activated in person at the theme parks. Additionally, whoever the tickets are assigned to will need to be present to activate them. So if your family is not available to go with you on the day you plan to activate the tickets, you can only activate your ticket; your family would need to be present to activate theirs with you. Now, let’s say you go and activate yours, and then when your family members are able to go, you want to go activate their tickets. You will need to scan in and enter the theme park with them on the first day in order for the tickets to be fully activated. After their first visit, they will be able to use their tickets without your presence.

I hope this was helpful, Lisa. Before I let you go, don’t forget that the Disney Celebrates America Military Salute tickets do not come with free parking, dining, or merchandise discounts like an Annual Pass would. The tickets only allow you entrance to the theme parks through December 18, 2026, and require park reservations, which are subject to blackout dates. If you need anything else, please come back and see us.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
